OCIA

What is OCIA?

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is a welcoming process for those seeking to deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith. It is open to:

  • Adults and children aged 8 and up who are considering becoming Catholic

  • Baptized Christians who wish to receive the sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation

The Journey

OCIA typically begins in the fall and continues through Easter. Weekly gatherings include:

  • Prayer and reflection

  • Catholic teaching

  • Fellowship with others on a similar path

This is a no-pressure process that invites participants to grow in faith at their own pace.

Full Communion at Easter

At the Easter Vigil, those who complete the OCIA journey are joyfully received into the Church through Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.
