General Confirmation Requirements

• Baptismal Record – Copy submitted to Faith Formation Office

  • If baptized at Our Lady Star of the Sea, copy is already on file

• Confirmation Covenant – Due September 29, 2026

• Faith Reflection – Due September 29, 2026

• Confirmation Name Form – September 2027

• Sponsor Selection & Questionnaire – September 2027

• Sponsor Form – Completed by Sponsor - October 2027

• Letter to the Pastor – February 2028

• Confirmation Interview – Conducted during class time (March 2028).

• Sacrament of Reconciliation – Prior to Confirmation (March 2028).

ENCOUNTER

Candidates are required to complete 2 Spiritual Growth Projects before Confirmation. (Recommended: one in 7th Grade, one in 8th Grade) Due: February 2028

GROW

Candidates must complete a total of 4 Service Projects across the two years.

(Recommended: two in 7th Grade, two in 8th Grade) Due: February 2028

WITNESS

Candidates step into active discipleship by sharing their faith, bonding with sponsors, and committing publicly. These pillars emphasize making a personal choice to follow Christ and live out the Catholic faith.

• Rite of Enrollment Mass – October 2027

• Confirmation Retreat – November 2027

• Candidate & Sponsor Activity/Project – December 2027

• Personal Testimony Share – Spring 2028
