Emergency Collection for Gaza
Archbishop Weisenburger, along with his brother bishops across the United States, is asking the faithful to be most generous in a critical collection for the people of Gaza. This collection is sponsored by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
We mourn the terrible suffering of Christians and other innocent victims of violence in Gaza who are struggling to survive, protect their children, and live humanely in tragic circumstances. Pope Leo continues to call for a ceasefire and for aid to enter the territory, noting with great sorrow that “Gaza is starving.”
All funds from this special collection will be remitted to one of two charities:
- Catholic Relief Services – partnering with local Church entities to provide food, shelter, financial assistance, hygiene supplies, and trauma assistance.
- Catholic Near East Welfare Association – providing vital emergency humanitarian relief and medical care to the sick, malnourished, and suffering.
Donations can also be made directly to either Catholic Relief Services or the Catholic Near East Welfare Association.
Your generosity is an opportunity to live out Christ’s call to serve our brothers and sisters in need.
