What should I wear for the procession?

Given the nature of the event, please wear comfortable shoes and an outfit that you can walk in for about two miles. Feel free to wear your athletic shoes to Mass that day.

Will we process even if it rains?

Yes, we will. If it rains, the Eucharistic procession will continue as planned. Please bring an umbrella or raincoat and whatever else you may need. If there is dangerous weather in the forecast (i.e., lightning), look for an email before the event with an update on an alternate plan to safely celebrate the start of the Eucharistic Procession.

Will there be water available for drinking?

There will be water available during the route. We recommend you bring your own water bottles.

Do I have to walk the whole way?

Recognizing that not everyone may be able to walk the entire route, we have a few spots where participants can join the procession.

All are invited to the 12:00 noon Mass at Saint Paul On The Lake Catholic Church after which we will start the procession.

  • About 1:30-1:40 pm we will be passing the corner of Moross and Lakeshore.
  • 2:10 -2:20 PM the procession will be passing the corner of Woodland Shores and Lakeshore
  • 2:35-2:45 PM the procession should be passing the corner of Morningside and Cook Rd.
  • Approximately 3:00PM Benediction will begin at Our Lady Star of the Sea, followed by fellowship in the Pointe.

You can join us anywhere on the route, or join us at Our Lady Star of the Sea for Benediction and fellowship.

Where should I park?

Plan ahead; limited bus availability.
More information to come.

What should I bring?

Some items to consider are sunscreen, sunglasses or a hat, any medications you need (i.e., inhaler, etc.), a water bottle.

You will have to carry whatever you bring with you for the day, so please plan accordingly.

Can our group carry a banner?

Yes, if your group would like to carry a banner, that would be fine. To create a banner, here are some suggestions:

  1. Two recommended online stores: bannerbuzz.com and allstatebanners.com
  2. Material: Vinyl, standard weight (13 oz)
  3. Size (W X H): 84 x 36 (Inch)
  4. Hanging Option: Top Pole Pocket
  5. Lamination for Outdoor Use

The cost will be approximately $60 plus tax and shipping.
Then you just need to buy a length of PVC pipe for the marchers to carry.
